I joined the Virginia Literacy Institute and Research Center in October 2008 to assist in support of the SEELLS and PEELLS Grant Programs. Prior to joining the VALRC, I assisted in a self-employed business for several years. I have a background in purchasing/marketing/sales which consist of many more years in distributing wholesale and retail foods.
I have two wonderful children, Shelby who is ten years old in the 5th grade and a three year old son named Matthew who attends pre-school.
I am not a native of Richmond, VA, however I love the Richmond area so much that I had a home build here sixteen years ago and proud to say I have lived here for about twenty years.
