Shelby Ward serves as a Project Assistant at The Literacy Institute. Shelby plays an active role on two early literacy projects through the Literacy Institute at Virginia Commonwealth University--Northside Reading Foundations (NoRF) and Supporting and Ensuring Early Language and Literacy Success (SEELLS). Specifically, Shelby focuses on the tasks related to monthly family events and monthly professional development for grants. In May 2008, Shelby graduated from Lynchburg College with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. Currently, Shelby is a graduate student at VCU School of Social Work, working to earn her Master’s in Social Work.
